coach's programs

Hey guys- Can you be a bit more specific about where Coach Miller and Coach Vierra are currently coaching. Northern California lacrosse has gotten so big, that I no longer know all the coaches. (ahh- the good ole days when we strolled into an NCJLA meeting and the entire Norcal lacrosse community was represented)

On a related note. Some of us OG coaches have suggested forming a Northern California Lacrosse Coaches Association so that more recruitment, training, certification, and support is given to coaches all across NorCal. (Oh yeah-did I mention socializing with fellow crazy people?) A few beverages between collegues has always proven to smooth over a few rough edges when it comes to coaching relationships. What do you think?

Keep the names coming on your top/favorite coaches. I want to meet some of these guys that I dont know. Its doing me good to hear that so many of my collegues are loved and respected by their players, parents, refs, and opponents alike.

PEACE! Go NORCAL!

Apparently they lost in the finals of the tournament, so I'd say thats pretty good, even if its not to their standard of winning the tournament.

As far as JV coaching goes, one of the best is Kelly Quinn at Acalanes. Great X's and O's guy and a great locker room team motivator who really gets his guys to play to their fullest potential. He teaches and plays the game with great honor and respect for the sport as every player/coach should.

Kelly Quinn is the man.

Coach Worstell heard (I honestly don't know how) that I was a fellow Maryland grad and was interested in getting involved in coaching. He called me out of the blue to wish me luck and to let me know that he would be glad to answer any questions - etc. That's the type of guy he is. Besides all the x's and o's - guys like Coach Worstell want to grow the game the right way.

Best coaching staff:

Scorpion K-1 Bobbleheads:
1. Coach Emerson (MVHS)
2. Coach French (SRV)
3. Coach Schwarz (Scorpions - older teams)
4. Coach Kelly (Scorpions)

(Special thanks to Coach Lechner - the founder of the Bobbleheads)
